The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ebonyi State says voting for its Gubernatorial Candidate, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii at the forthcoming general elections would be in the best interest of the people of the State and they won’t regret it.
This came as the party officially commences a campaign tour of the 13 local government areas in the State, with the flag-off event which was held today at Ezza’s south local government area.
The Acting chairman of the party, Barrister Ifeanyi Nworie while addressing supporters described AnyiChuks as a transparent and trustworthy candidate who’ll fit into the position of governor, come May 29th, 2023.
He reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that the PDP emerges victorious at the general elections, and urged the people to continue with their support for AnyiChuks as well as other party candidates.
In his address, Dr. Ifeanyi Chukwuma Odii (AnyiChuks) said he would run an open Government that would bring total transformation to the state if elected.
He said he is different from other politicians who would go the extra mile to threaten electorates into voting for them, and rather noted that leadership should be given to people with clean antecedents.
“If anyone says he wants to be a governor, ask him, who are you and what have you done, ask AnyiChuks, what have I done before I came to contest for governor?
“In the past 16 years, I have been able to touch lives through the foundation that I operate with my wife, we have built schools and churches, and we’ve given scholarships to indigents”. he said.
Odii said if elected, his Government would bring total transformation to Ebonyi State and empower the youths, and women as well as industrialize the State and reform the civil service.
“We will bring the Government that would give empowerment to the Youths, and true empowerment to women, to bring total reform to our civil service.
“The Government that would not delay payment of salaries to civil servants, we will give promotions as at when due, we will pay gratuity.
“We will industrialize Ebonyi State so that every child born of Ebonyi would have a good job after School, we will ensure that we remove all our brothers hawking on the streets of Lagos and Abuja,” he added.
