Ebonyi State Governor, Engr David Umahi has pledged to extend his administration’s empowerment intervention to indigenes residing in Abuja.
His special assistant on media and strategy, Mr. Chooks Oko who gave the disclosure in a press statement noted the Governor’s intention at a reception organized for national honor recipients from the State at the Federal capital territory.
“Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi has promised to carry his administration’s empowerment intervention to Ebonyi indigenes living in the federal capital, Abuja.
“Speaking in Abuja Tuesday during a reception organized for national honor recipients from Ebonyi state, the governor explained that his empowerment programs were aimed at ensuring that Ebonyi people were lifted out of the poverty line”. it stated.
The Governor, who described the people as being known for hard work, said they deserve to reap the benefits of their labor and promised to continue to work for their upliftment.
It would be recalled that the
Governor had earlier, in September, empowered the first set of beneficiaries of the intervention exercise and extended the same to 8000 indigenes in October.
