Incumbent chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Ebonyi State chapter, Comrade Emeji Godwin has described the emergeance of new executives as well as thier inauguration in the State as illegal.
Emeji pointed out that illegality would not become legal because the process through which the new executives emerged was not in accord with the provision of the NYCN constitution.
“The purported inauguration was coming from my former secretary, and there’s no way illegality Will be legal,
“The person they paraded as the National President of the council is someone that has been declared persona non grata by the Federal ministry of sports and youth development for impersonation and the security agencies are aware.
“Solomon Adodo can never be the National President of the council, the leadership of the council is not a one man affair, the council was formed as an act of Parliament in 1964, the council has constitutional backing that must be adhered to.
He said the newly inaugurated chairman, “Aligwe is not a member of the council”, noting the Government is aware of his administration.
“The Ministry knows that I am the chairman, the Government knows that I am the chairman, they are trying to distract me and I don’t have to look back or fight them, the law will take it’s course.” he said.
Earlier in the day, new executives of the National Youth Council of Nigeria were inaugurated in Abakaliki the State capital where Aligwe Samson and 22 others emerged executives as caretaker committee to oversee the affairs of the council in Ebonyi.
