The Nigeria Youth Organization (NYO), South-East Zone has congratulated Mr Femi Gbajabiamila and Senator George Akume on their appointments as Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu and Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF) respectively.
The NYO’s National Vice-President in the Zone, Mr Okorie Okorie in a statement he issued on Sunday in Abakaliki, described Gbajabiamila as “an outstanding Speaker” who brought quality leadership to the ninth National Assembly.
He, however described Akume as a good leader, who have served in the pathway of peace toward national development.
“May I on behalf of the Executive Council and teeming members of Nigeria Youth Organization (NYO) South-East Zone congratulate Gbajabiamila on his meritorious appointment as Chief of Staff to President Tinubu.
“We also congrtaulate Senator Akume, Former Governor of Benue State on his appointment as Secretary to the Government of the Federation,” he stated.
Okorie further hailed President Tinubu on his choice of appointments and wished him more wisdom to tackle the yarning needs of the citizens.
“We wish to emphasize that the choice of Tinubu in appointing Gbajabiamila as his Chief of Staff and Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation is a well thought-out one.
“We, therefore seize this opportunity to call on both appointees to be upright in the discharge of their duties.
“The Youth will not relent in praying for them and we will continue to give our support and solidarity.
“Congratulations to all of you once again and do accept the best assurances of our highest regards,” the Youth President added.
