Ahead of the march 11th gubernatorial and House of Assembly elections,
the members of Abakaliki Rice Millers Association have reaffirmed support for the Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru (FON).
The Rice Millers also gave their assurances to vote massively for all APC Candidates contesting for House of Assembly elections.
Mr. Obeji Linus, who is the chairman of the association stated on behalf of the entire millers and gave his assurance to Mrs. Uzoamaka Nwifuru, wife of the guber candidate on her sensitization visit to the company in Abakaliki, with her entourage for the husband’s victory at the polls.
“This is more like a gathering of saints for victory to the Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), R.t Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru.
“Before this time, we have already adopted him as our sole Candidate for the governorship position, because he is a young man full of life, experience, and capacity as a man of the people.” He said.
Obeji expressed confidence that Nwifuru would perform wonderfully well as a youthful Governor who understands the plight of young people, and as a once downtrodden who could relate to the experiences of the poor.
“We believe in him as a person who would understand our pains, he was once poor and he will know how to tackle the challenges in the rice mill, he is the only person that can solve our problems, that’s why we are adopting him“. he added.
The wife of the APC gubernatorial candidate, Mrs. Uzoamaka Nwifuru had earlier called on the people to vote with a conscience while considering peace, unity, fairness, and justice.
She urged them to bank on her husband’s experience in governance which is an ability to consolidate on the works of the current administration while promising that if elected, he would work towards improving the ease of doing business for marketers in the State.
The function was well attended by dignitaries including the Abakaliki council chairman, Mr. Stephen Ebere Nwogha who urged the electorates to come out en mass and vote for all APC Candidates on election day.
