The remains of one of the oldest matriarchs in Enohia Itim Community Afikpo will be on Thursday, 25th April 2025 interred in her compound, Ezi-Ewa Village, Enohia Itim Community, Afikpo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
In a release signed by Dr Augustine Okpani Oko on behalf of the family of late Chief Oko Okoche and sent to The Rake announced that a wake keep will be held on the 24 while she begins her final journey thereafter on the 25, 2025.
The statement further described the late matriarch as an easygoing, low-toned speaker and known for her generosity.
“I regret to announce on behalf of the Family of Chief Oko Okoche the death of the late Mrs Mgbo Oko. She was, until her death, a peacemaker, easygoing, low-toned speaker and woman whose generosity knows no bounds.
“While we mourn and grief over her death, we are consoled, however, by the good life she led exemplified by her discipline, kindness, humility and industry.
“Mama will be sorely missed”, the statement, reads.
