Lawmaker recieves Indigenous women, Umuada on August visit in Afikpo

The indigenous women of Nzukor Umuada  Ehugbo, paid  August visit to member  representing AFIKPO North/South Federal Constituency, Hon. Barr Idu Igariwe, who doubles as the legal Adviser to the Association.


The visit was made  in honour of the celebration of  Ehugbo 2022 New yam festival, and  his supports to the Association.


The visit was made to his  country home, at Mgbom  Afikpo, in Afikpo North Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.



Mrs. Cecilia Ekpege Okoele  Leader of the group, While addressing Newsmen Said,

“the visit was born out of his fully in sponsoring the affairs of the Association, both at home and in diaspora, since over forty years of its existence.


“Also for his  good representation to the Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja.”



She further called on the youths of Afikpo to keep following the lay down  Ehugbo cultural heritage, by not allowing it to die in the name of civilization.



she equally called on mothers whom their female children are given birth in their houses without Legerlly married to ensure it stops.


said” such behaviours is absolutely not in the good characters of any Indigenous Umuada Ehugbo”.



Also speaking ,  chief Emmanuel Onu, Leader from a group that represented  Afikpo South Local Government Area who equally pays visit to the Law maker.

Said  ” since the creation of the constituency the Lawmaker had done very well, comparing him with other past Leaders in the constituency.


“Both in the areas of Empowerments, projects and in humanitarian services.”



He added that “no hamlets in  Afikpo South that has not benefited from him, in one projects to other, mostly on the areas of Infrastructural projects, Agricultural Empowerments, scholarships  and in the health sectors, what he has done to our people are numerous.



“Based on these gesture our people has massively obtained their PVC in other to return him back come 2023 general Election”



The Lawmaker, on his parts was overwhelmed on both sides and promised the people that if they voted him into power come 2023, he would do more, better than what he has done in this present administration.
