A frontline politician and well known real estate developer, honorable Oscar Ukemezie has said that it has always been on his mind to open up a None Governmental Organization (NGO).
Aimed at helping the poor, the needy and the less privilege in the society, irrespective of tribe, religion and the creed.
Honorable Oscar stated this in a chat with Nigeria Newspoint Newspapers on Tuesday 25th June, 2024 in his multi billion naira state of the art, masterpiece house which according to him ” The opening/ warming of the house comes up on the Saturday 29th June 2024 as a part of the tripartite event that will herald the birthday of his beautiful daughters, launch of his NGO and the opening/ Warming of his monumental residential edifice located along chief N.D Nkemdeme Crescent Umuelele Irete.
Explaining further, he said “the launch of the NGO is a confirmation of what someone from orlu, in IMO state told him many years ago while praying for him,” that God will give him a platform to feed the People.
When he went to Lagos, he was just eating with a friend and something dropped, God told him, that this is it, TNNCF the needy nest charity foundation, he had to add F, when he went to register it two years and discovered that somebody has registered TNNC, he then added F which is foundation to enable him register it.
According to him, “God did it because he knows my heart”, he added, pointing out that the Bible says that ” the heart of the king is in God’s hand he knows the heart of everybody, my heart is to make the people happy, to see the hungry and I feed them, see the less privileged and I rescue from what whatever trouble they have.
“So, this is what birthed this my foundation and I registered it, Open bank account, we now want to start soliciting from companies and others because the people are hungry, people are suffering today.
“This is how we came about the NGO, though we have been doing a lot of things on our own but I thought it wise that whatever we want to do now let it be through our foundation, we have been giving Rice, we have been giving street lights to communities, giving food stuffs and all that, individually, now we want to make it official that is how we came about the NGO”. He explained.
Reacting to a question on whether his foundation is politically motivated, since many people in the past, like Chief Francis Arthur Nzeribe and Chief Rochas Okorocha had transformed their NGOs into political platforms, whether he has such and intention, he said, his intention is to make the people smile.
“Whoever that uses his own for political motives that is his business for me I’m doing what God asked me to do; helping the needy”, stressing that even if he goes into politics, it will not interfere with his foundation’s objectives.
On whether his two daughters who were going to celebrate their birthdays on the 29th of June were born the same day or whether they are twins, he said ” they were born in the month of June, One on the 3rd and the other on the 25th so we decided to join every celebration for that day 29th, House warming, NGOs / foundation launching or inauguration”
On why he answered the Clarion call of his people to venture into politics, he said that the people were convinced that largely what he is doing for them is what politicians does, hence he should come out, then he decided to heed their unanimous call.
“This political move is also hinged on the fact that, the older politicians and what they represent, the impact is not getting to the people, they have money, they are rich, they have the contacts, yet the people were not getting anything.
“So, my people were coming to me to come out for Election and I agreed, I have confirmed it from God, though they came, it is not as if it is my people are the ones pushing me I have to get a confirmation from God and I got it” He said.
Asked whether he has a god father, since what is popular in Nigeria is politics of god fatherism, he said he” has God first and foremost and then the Governor of Imo state, Senator Hope Uzodinma. “We call him our god father today, because I am coming from APC, All Progressives Congress Party, Senator Osita Izunaso and the rest on top there.
” when you are in politics, you respect them, they are my god fathers. in politics even if God appoints you, their must be people that will lead you to that throne, i hope you understand me, we are looking up to them, i will say that they are my god fathers for now.
“I have God as my father who is leading me, but when it comes to human beings, i have senator Hope Uzodinma because i have seen the kind of things that he is doing, he has a lot of goodwill for the people of Imo state”.
The incoming executive chairman of Oguta local Government area of Imo state said he is not coming into politics because he” wanted to be a politician but came out so that if money comes from the government it will reach the grassroots, let them experience and enjoy what is coming from the Government.
Honorable Oscar further said that if he becomes the Chairman of his Local Government Oguta and he receives huge Allocation that his people will rejoice, Oguta in General and Agwa in particular because according to him, his community has been neglected, pointing out that electricity and roads will take precedence, light especially because according to him;
“God said let there be light and there was light”, noting that light is what gives life, the next is road and then water, “we also have to make the people to feed fine for them to use the light, the road and other things, a hungry man does not notice these things.
“I have to fix the people in several places like jobs for them to earn a living, to care for themselves and their families”.
On how he was going to handle the contending forces in Agwa community who have always been against the provision of electricity in that area, He said ” as a local Government Chairman, there will be not confrontations”, rather, he will give orders because as a local Government Chairman he will issue orders and it must be carried out, he does not need to confront anybody by the grace of God and the people does not need to challenge the representative of Governor Hope Uzodinma at that level, at the local Government level, whatever he says stands.
“That was why when God was creating the world he said, “let they be light and they’re was light, he also said let us make man in our own image and there was man in the image of God, so i don’t need to contend with anybody but what i needed is to give orders and the order will stand and nobody will twart it.”
Asked what will be his plans for the youths, considering their restive nature, he said, ” Being restive by the youths is because of the issues in the communities by the grace of God when we get to the throne, wisdom and ideas will start coming in, we tried to stop them through our platform, they are not coming back to the village.
“we are changing them gradually, the story of restiveness in our community started in a day and by the grace of God it will end one day. when we become the local Government Chairman they’re strategies we have mapped out,
“we don’t have to make it open or reveal it but what we know is that we have mapped out some strategies to handle restiveness of the Youths by the grace of God.”
Being a strategist, he said he will bring the youth leaders and the president Generals of the communities and interface with them, including the Advisers that he will appoint because a tree cannot make a forest.
