“I commend you for showing good understanding with the State Government in the ongoing verification of Staff across all Local Government Areas and be assured of regular promotion of Civil Servants. “The face of Abakaliki has been lifted, how do we maintain them, that is the question, how do we make Ebonyi the pride of South East, that is the idea behind our choice of Cabinet members.

“As elders, we need your support, we need your counsel, we need your prayers, when you see us going wrong, call us back and guide us aright, we need you and we are lucky to have you, be very much proactive, just open your heart and give us the advice that we need.”

The Chairman of the Council of Elders, Chief Ben Okah has while congratulating the Governor on his swearing-in, enjoined him to remain focused in delivering on his manifesto to the people.

“We have studied your manifesto carefully and we have seen that you are primed to take Ebonyi State to greater heights through even development of all sectors of the state both in administration and in projects implementation. We are here to declare our full support to your good intentions for Ebonyi State in ensuring that your aspirations and that of all of us come to fruition.

“As a young Governor and probably the youngest in Nigeria, we know that the zeal and energy you invested during the campaign will be sustained throughout your tenure. Already your footsteps and pronouncements within this one month have shown explicitly that the direction is for prosperity and peace.”
