Their voices, choices, and opinions are what matters most. The success of any government can only be measured by the happiness, progress, and wellbeing of its people.
In what could have been an ordinary Democracy Day celebration in Ebonyi State, something greater took place. The spotlight was turned on the achievements of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, as leaders and citizens came together to celebrate not just democracy, but the real impact of good governance. People praised his impressive accomplishments and recognized him as a leader who truly understands what it means to serve.
It became clear to everyone that Governor Nwifuru is not just running an inclusive government; he is showing strong and capable leadership in all areas. And he has done this in just two years. From infrastructure to education, from healthcare to agriculture, his results are visible across the state.
Democracy, at its heart, is about the people. It is about creating a society where everyone is valued, where every voice is heard, and where leadership is based on service, not power. In Ebonyi State, this kind of democracy is being practiced, thanks to the APC-led government and the unique leadership of Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru who believes that democracy is not just about voting every four years, it is about daily justice, fairness, inclusion, and progress for all.
Today, Ebonyians can evidently see the change around them. There are roads, schools, hospitals, and other important infrastructural projects spread across towns and communities. This Democracy Day, the APC family in Ebonyi State proudly honored the leaders who planted the seeds of change and nurtured them with courage, sacrifice, and vision such as His Excellency, Sen Dr Sam Ominyi Egwu, His Excellency, Chief Martin Nwanchor Elech, His Excellency, Engr Sen (Dr) David Nweze Umahi, Dist Sen Anyim Pius Anyim, High Chief Hyacinth Ikpor, High Chief Ben Okah among othes. Governor Nwifuru has earned the respect of the people, not by force or by fear, but through fairness, humility, and a deep commitment to service.
The peace and unity we now enjoy in the state are proof of the Governor’s leadership ingenuity. His policies are thoughtful and well planned. Many of them are already improving lives, and others will begin to show results soonest. He is not just planning for now , he is building for the future.
Today, power truly belongs to the people in Ebonyi. Citizens can speak freely, make choices, believe in their dreams, and live with dignity. No one is above the law. Everyone has equal rights. People are no longer just observers, they are active contributors to the future of the state. Leaders are held accountable for their actions, just as it should be in a true democracy.
Ebonyi is moving forward because Governor Nwifuru has placed people above power and progress above pride. As members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state, we are proud to say that great leaders do not control the people, they serve them. And that is exactly what Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru is doing: leading with love, humility, and sincerity.
