Barrister Silas Onu, the People’s Democratic Party’s senatorial hopeful for the Ebonyi South senatorial bye election slated for February 3, says he is set to emerge victorious at the polls.
Onu stated this in his home town of Amenu in Uburu, Ohaozara Local Government Area of the state, at a meeting with the PDP ward executives across the five local government areas in Ebonyi South Senatorial District.
Onu, who assured his supporters that his victory would revive the hope of the masses in Ebonyi South Senatorial District, also commended the stakeholders of the party in Ebonyi South for their support of his candidacy ahead of the elections.
In a statement by the campaign DG, Hon. Chukwuma Igwe, who assured the people of victory on February 3, 2024., the Senatorial Hopeful tasked the party leaders at the ward level to sensitize the people of the need to come out en masse and vote for him on the election day to attain the desired change of the Senatorial District to benefit the masses.
“Speaking with the Ward executives, the PDP senatorial candidate, Barr Onu, expressed his readiness for the forthcoming election in the zone and assured them that he is in the race to win.
“He also thanked the Ward executives and his supporters across the zone for standing firmly and believing in him and the PDP, even as opposition parties spread falsehoods about the PDP not having a candidate.
“Barr. Silas Onu also used the opportunity to task the ward leaders and other critical stakeholders to continue preaching the gospel of PDP in their wards and polling units, reaching out to the local voters in their pulling unit, and encouraging them to come out en masse and vote for PDP. Their vote will count on this election to bring the change they desire to the zone.” It stated.
