Ebonyi: PDP Vows To Participate, Win Forthcoming LGA Election, Affirms Egwu as Party Leader

The Newly Inaugurated Caretaker Chairman of People’s Democratic Party PDP, Mr Nwele Peter Onyemechi has reiterated the party’s readiness to participate and win in all the Local Government Areas in the forthcoming Local Government Council Election.

The Chairman and other Executives affirmed that the first Executive Governor of the State, Dr Sam Egwu is the leader of the party in the State.

Nwele disclosed this to Journalists immediately after the meeting of all political parties with Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission EBSIEC in Abakaliki the State Capital.



Nwele urged Ebonyi State Independent Electoral Commission EBSIEC to obey all the guidelines for the election as released by the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC.

“We are just coming from the meeting we had with EBSIEC and the to best of our abilities, PDP is very much ready to participate in the forthcoming Local Government Area election, scheduled to hold on 26th July, 2024 and from what was discussed in the meeting, the EBSIEC is ready to conduct free, fair and Credible elections”

“As for the party, I and the State Working Committee has affirmed that the leader of the party is Dr Sam Ominyi Egwu and no any other person”. Nwele said.

“We are fully prepared to win all the Local Government Areas in the State provide the Independent National Electoral Commission INEC will give us a level playing field”. He informed.

The Chairman Urged the party Members and supporters to remain steadfast as Ebonyi is known as PDP State.

The State Secretary of the Party, Mr Ifeuwabundidi Zacchaeus Ogbuefi affirmed that the present Leadership of the party is ready to take the party to the highest level.

Ogbuefi assures supporters of restoring the glory of the party.
