Ebonyi LP Guber Candidate pledges to prioritize retirees welfare if elected

The Gubernatorial Candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in Ebonyi State, Dr Edward Nkwegu said he would prioritize the welfare of retirees in the State and ensure that their entitlement are paid as at due.

Nkwegu stated this during his campaign rally in Ohaukwu local government area, while reassuring the people of his commitments to industrialize the State by creating over two hundred thousand jobs for the unemployed youths within the two years of his administration if elected Governor.

Earlier, while presenting his manifesto, the guber candidate had lamented over the high rate of poverty, unemployment and the lack of the ease of doing business in the State and promised to change the narratives to attract investment and boost the economy.

He appealed to thier conscience to verify the candidates they want to vote for at the upcoming general elections, he said, “look at the person’s character, capacity, Peter Obi for instance, when he was a governor he paid the arias of workers, when labour party come onboard, we’ll pay”. He assured.

Mr John Egbe, chairman of the retirees while reacting said his colleagues would ensure that credible candidates emerge victorious at the election, and requested that the governornishp Candidate should establish a ministry that would Carter for thier needs.

Meanwhile, the director general of the campaign council, Barrister Ukpai George said there’s already an existing plans to carry the retirees along when his administration emerge and urged them to vote for LP at all levels starting from the presidential and national assembly election which is the first to come.
