The Leadership of Labour Party in Ebonyi State Southeast Nigeria has Commended the efforts of all and sundry who have in their various capacity and assignments contributed to the successful and Peaceful Presidential campaign of Mr Peter Obi and Senator Ahmed Datti.
The State Chairman of Labour Party, Mr Jioke Godwin gave this Commendation in Abakaliki the State Capital.
Jioke said “On behalf of the State Executive of our dear Party, Labour Party, Ebonyi State Chapter, we wish to thank you His Excellency, Mr. Peter Gregory Obi, the Presidential Candidate of Labour Party and his Vice President, Senator Ahmed Baba-Datti Yusuf, the National Chairman of our great Party, Barr. Julius Abure, the National Secretary Alhaji Umar Farouk Ibrahim, the National Organizing Secretary of Labour Party, Chief Clement Ojukwu and indeed all the National Working Committee of Labour Party for making us proud during the Presidential Campaign Rally in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State. Special Salute to Our incoming wife of Mr President Mrs Peter Obi and her entourage.
Thank you for coming as we pray that our Labour shall be fruitful in Jesus name. Our Lady of Peace and wife of the incoming Governor Mrs Edward Nkwegu was in her very best in mobilising Ebonyi women to the occasion. They added the colours and swag to the occasion”
“May we also use this medium to thank all the security agencies in Ebonyi State namely; the Commandant, Military Cantonment, Nkwegu Barracks, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, the Commissioner of Police, Ebonyi State Police Command Headquarters, Abakaliki, the Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corp, Ebonyi State Command, Abakaliki, the Commandant, Federal Road Safety Corp, Ebonyi State Command, the State Traffic Warden Officers and indeed all the Officers and men on duty that day 3/02/2023. We thank you all for your dedication and selfless services. May God bless you and promote each of you accordingly”
He applauded the Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi for granting us the waivers of IGR and deposits in respect of the Stadium. May God bless you abundantly Sir.
On his part, the Labour Party State Secretary, Barrister Luke Adonwe appreciated Various Donor Agencies for their facility and financial contributions.

Adonwe also thanked the Executive of Labour Party especially Mr. Churchill Ikpor and all the other State Executive Council members who were active during and after the Rally that stood firm to ensure the success of the event.

He also Commended the candidates of Labour Party in Ebonyi State and the various support groups and their leaders, Dr. John Agha, Benson Agwu, Com. Idenyi Okechukwu, thank you for your efforts.
“To the students Leadership and the students of various campuses who graced this event, To the tricycles and motorcycle Drivers, the general public and supporters of Labour Party across Ebonyi State, we say thank you for your contributions, swift actions and show of love”. He appreciated.
“We therefore, assure you that our collective efforts to redeem and redefine Nigeria for a better one will be realized this year with your joint votes in favour of the Labour Party come February,2023”. He added.
