Ahead of the Ebonyi state local government and council election slated for July 20, 2024, the chairman of the Abakaliki rice mill industry, comrade Linus Obeji, has extolled Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s leadership impacts as the bedrock for the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the state.
Obeji, in a statement welcoming Governor Nwifuru to the Izzi LGA APC campaign rally, said that the majority of the people in the rural and urban areas are happy with what the current administration is doing under Nwifuru’s watch, including massive infrastructural development, employment opportunities, and social welfare, among others.
He explained that the governor’s determination to alleviate the lives of the people has brought massive defections from various opposition parties to the APC in the state, and he believes that all the candidates of the party would ride on Nwifuru’s People’s Charter of Needs agenda to achieve a successful outing at the local government elections.
“I wish to use this medium to congratulate our performing governor in advance, His Excellency, R. T. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, and welcome him to the Izzi Local Government APC campaign rally. This is the home of the governor, and we are proud to associate with his success in just one year.
“Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru has shown capacity beyond our expectations; he has proven that quality leadership is indeed possible; his people’s charter of needs agenda has brought smiles to the faces of the poor and vulnerable people in rural and urban areas, which is why today we have almost a one-party system in Ebonyi State because everyone wants to join in his success story.
“If you observe very well, you will notice that the APC family is rapidly growing in Ebonyi State because of what the Governor is doing to bring peace, security, and prosperity to our people. He doesn’t have time to play gimmicks, but he is focused on his primary assignment, which is to Carter for the people who gave him their mandate, and that is pure democracy.”. He said.
He pledged support for the incumbent chairman of Izzi Local Government Area, Hon. Steve Emenike Nwakpa, and urged the people to come out enmass to vote for him on the election day, expressing confidence in his capacity to replicate Governor Nwifuru’s signature of good governance and quality leadership for his people.
“On behalf of my family and the good people of the Abakaliki rice mill industry, citizens of the Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, I humbly call on our people to support the APC at all levels, support our governor, and show that support by coming out to vote massively for Hon. Barr Steve Emenike Nwakpa on the 20th of July, 2024, to emerge victorious.” He added.
