Ebonyi Governor’s wife places priority to improve livelihood of people

The Ebonyi Governor’s Wife, Mrs Marymaudline Nwifuru has continued to express concern towards impacting on lives of people in the state.

Nwifuru made the remarks on Friday, during a courtesy visit paid on her by Chairpersons of 13 Local Government Areas of Ebonyi and Network of Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) in Abakaliki.

She seeked for weekly report of various LGA chairpersons to provide it with informations that would help identify issues and vulnerable persons for intervention.

She called them to play functional roles in response to intervention.

“You will give report of happenings in your areas weekly, because I want to known where we can begin to impact in people’s lives, “Nwifuru said.

Earlier, the governor’s wife also assured partnership with Network of NGOs and Civil Society Organisation, Faith-Based among other support groups.

She stated that it would partner the group to promote inclusive economic growth in the state.



She described the network of NGOs as critical change agents to humaunity.

Meanwhile, Mrs Elizabeth Nome, Leader of the chairpersons, , promised continuous support to the administration for good governance.

Nomeh lauded Gov. Francis Nwifuru for victory at the poll and women inclusiveness in the administration.

“We, members of chairpersons from various LGA are ready to protect your interest across the state,” Nomeh said.

Mr Offor Okorie, , Leader of the NGO Network groups, expressed solidarity towards elevation of Gov. Nwifuru

Okorie, pledged the group readiness to work with her office to improve livelihood of women and children in the state.
