The Ebonyi State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Igwe Steven Uchenna
has given assurance to those living in rural areas that the present administration would draw attention to them.
The Commissioner gave this assurance in his Office when Interacting with the Newsmen on resumption of duty.
He also said that those in the rural areas should be carried along in the government because they are parts of the system, who voted massively for the victory of this administration.
He also assured Ebonyians that as he is appointed the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters the causes of that crisis among communities will be carefully handled and resolved to an end.
Added that most causes of the crisis have been discovered, such as leadership tussles, like Electing of traditional rulers, town union leaders, and other leadership positions among people both in the rural Areas and Urban.
Said he is going to look into the outstanding ones to amicably resolve them and properly report to the governor.
Said, in the Area of the Local governments and developments Centers we are going to swing into actions through monitoring their activities making sure that evidence of democracy gets rooted in every Area.
And to make sure that the people that voted for them are benefiting from all the government-attracted projects.
Meanwhile, the government has swung into action by declaring a State of emergency in the Health sector, employing medical workers to revive and make it functional in all the General Hospitals in the 13 Local Government Areas of Ebonyi State.
