The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ebonyi State has re-strategized ahead of the gubernatorial and state house of Assembly elections slated for march 11th.
The state chairman, Chief Stanley Okoro Emegha while expressing assured victory for its candidates, maintained that only APC has the background to win the election.
He gave the assertions at the party’s secretariat in Akanu Ibiam International Conference center in Abakaliki the State capital, after a briefing with ward and LGA executives.
“After Saturday’s elections, it is necessary that the APC calls its members and have a review of what happened from the area of strength and weakness.
“These are ward, Chairman, secretary and woman Leader, LGA chairman, secretary, woman leader, and youth leader, the next one we are doing is with all the ward councilors.
“They are the people we’ve elected and it’s necessary to meet with them to hear their challenges and know where the party can come in”. He said.
He, however, expressed no worries over the popularity of the Labor Party’s Presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, noting it would not affect the outcome of march polls as APC has performed well in the State.
“APC has performed very well in this state and no other party can win elections here, even the opposition knows very well that people would consolidate on our good works.
“If we must continue to move the state forward then we must continue to support APC.
“This is about protecting the future of the Ebonyi people and we are not taking anything for granted. whatever we must do genuinely to win the heart of the masses, we will do,” he added.
