Ebonyi 2023: We will revamp our economy, treat our people with respect – Odoh

The gubernatorial Candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ebonyi State, Professor Ifeanyi Bernard Odoh, says his government, if elected would focus on identifying the State’s resources and encourage local communities to produce goods and services that would revamp the State economy.

Odoh, stated this during the inauguration of the State and ward executives of Odometer support group In Abakaliki the State capital.

He said Ebonyi people would be treated with honor and respect for thier rights and not be subjected to over taxation, while promising to review the policies of the current government which led to the demolition of people’s properties within the capital city.

We shall treat our people with respect, we will honor them, if you’re the best we will promote you, it doesn’t matter where you are coming from, those who are in business, we will not tax thier capital, tax should come from the profit, those whose shops were demolished, we’ll review the policies and set things right.

We will activate local economy in our various Communities, we shall all be part of the project process, we shall produce goods and services that would lift this state and give us income”. Odoh said.

Odo hinted that the various communal clashes in the State is due to vested political interest, and alleged the current Government’s interference with leadership of local union as the cause, while assuring his supporters that he would encourage the people to decide thier leaders in order to live in peace and unity, if elected governor in 2023.

He said his government would encourage the production of consumable products such as eggs among other items produced in other states, to promote the production of cement by harnessing the limestone deposits in the State which would further revamp the economy.

Odoh, who commended the pioneer of Odometer support group, Mr Onyebuchi Eze, noted that the various groups have been self funded to show solidarity towards actualizing a better Ebonyi State for all.
