The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ebonyi says it will deploy more than 600 personnel to provide security during the Easter celebrations in the state.
The State Commandant of the corps Felix Gbolade made the disclosure in an interview on its readiness for the celebrations.
Gbolade who spoke through the command’s Public Relations Officer Paul Odimba said that personnel will assist in protecting people’s lives and public infrastructure across the state.
“We thank God for enabling us witness another Easter celebrations and the people deserve to celebrate it in peace.
“The command in collaboration with other security agencies, have put adequate security measures in place to ensure hitch-free celebrations”.
The state commandant advised the people to celebrate without fear and report any breach of peace to the command or other security agencies.
“Criminal and other undesirable acts would not be tolerated as perpetrators will have no place to hide.
“Anyone caught disrupting the prevailing peace in the state will face the full wrath of the law,”
