Comrade Linus Obeji, the chairman of the Abakaliki rice mill industry has congratulated the Ebonyi State Governor, R.t Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru over his victory at the appeal court.

The Appeal Court sitting in Lagos, on Friday, upheld the election of Governor FranĀcis Ogbonna Nwifuru as the duly elected governor of Ebonyi State in the March 18 governorship election.

The three-member panel of Justices led by Justice Jummai Hannatu Sankey in a unanimous judgment dismissed the appeal filed by Chukwuma Ifeanyi Odii of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for lacking in merit.

Comrade Obeji, in a statement made available to Eye Witness News, has said the victory is well deserved and equally described it as a perfection of the will of God and the people of Ebonyi State as a whole.

It is with great joy that I received the news regarding His Excellency, Rt Hon Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru’s victory at the appeal court.

“The victory is well deserved, the people have spoken, and as I will always quote, the voice of the people is the voice of God, the land has spoken, the heaven has also spoken.

“I want to say to God be the glory, indeed, God has confirmed the voice of the people and his divinity upon the Governor and his decision is irreversible”. he said.

Obeji commended the governor’s policies and programs which have been reflecting on the lives of the poor and vulnerable people in the state towards attaining his campaign promises, which are based on the people’s charter of needs.

While calling on the opposition parties to shun further litigations, he expressed confidence that the governor would equally win at the higher court as his victory is glaring and undeniable.

Ebonyi is not ending today, if you’re not the governor today, tomorrow you may become the governor, let’s come back, put our hands together, and rebuild the State that our generation yet unborn will inherit, let’s put ideas together, and make Ebonyi State a place that we all will be proud of”. He added.
