A total of 100 vulnerable persons in Ebonyi South Senatorial District have gained from the Federal Government’s cash transfer, courtesy of Senator Micheal Ama Nnachi, who currently represents them at the red chambers of the National Assembly.
The beneficiaries were drawn from Afikpo North and South, Onicha, Ivo and Ohaozara LGA respectively. These are the five Local government areas made of Ebonyi South Senatorial district.
Senator Ama Nnachi, while speaking during the disbursement exercise noted that the cash transfer had been going on for 3 consecutive years accommodating the vulnerable persons in his Constituency.
“We are here this afternoon to supervise the disbursement of grants coming for humanitarian Affairs,
“This grant has been coming for the past 3years and today we are here experiencing another batch of it which is 100 beneficiaries from all the 5 LGA in Ebonyi south senatorial zone”. he said.
Engr Kalu Francis, the South East zonal Ex official of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), who represented the senator at the event described him as someone that has distinguished himself and has made the people to enjoy what representation is all about in the red chambers.
“We thank him for what he has done and we continue to encourage him to do more.
“The people of Ebonyi south are happy with him, they are happy we will be disbursing their money to them and the news is everywhere.
“He has been doing, he will do more and will continue to do. We have confidence in him and we are working hard, just like he is doing to make sure that his second tenure is assured”. Kalu said.
He advice the beneficiaries to use the funds judiciously and urged them to spread the message in order to let the people know about the good works of the senator
“Let everybody know what Sen Michael Ama Nnachi is doing. So that those who are not aware of his benevolent heart will see it through other people”. he added.
Some of the beneficiaries who spoke including Mrs Orie Ukpai, Mba Okoro, they thanked Senator Ama Nnachi for the gesture and promised to continue to support him and his re-election come 2023.
